What do you like best about working at Comdata?
Firstly, it’s a truly international company, where my colleagues are multilingual and multicultural. That’s exciting.
Secondly, working at Comdata means facing something new every day, working to find innovative solutions for our clients and look after our people. The company’s dynamism and lean structure allow us to take quick decisions when they matter and to interact between departments in a seamless way.
Those two characteristics mean that every day I learn something new from my colleagues in every department, always working to tackle every issue as a team.
Has your own career had an international dimension?
I started working in Comdata almost 10 years ago, through an internship in one of our Italian operation centers. Since then I have had the opportunity to work as an HR professional in 3 different countries (Italy, Romania – where I currently live – and Albania).
I am deeply grateful for all the guidance and mentorship that many colleagues, both in HR and other departments, have given me during this time. Equally important have been the opportunities to take ownership, to make mistakes and to try different approaches, growing my knowledge and skills in the process.
How do you find living in Bucharest?
I live in Bucharest, capital city of Romania, and there’s a lot to do here. I enjoy trying out new places to eat, going to concerts in the city or hiking in the Carpathians – even in winter! I am also a big fan of music and play the guitar whenever I can!
